The Florida Transportation Commission primarily serves as a policy and oversight board. A primary function of the Commission is to review and recommend major transportation policy to the Governor and legislature. Through the years, the Commission has prepared numerous reports as statutorily mandated by the legislature, requested by the Governor or by one of the Commission members.
